The web client does have a problem with SSL if you are using multiple web sites on the same port number.
Is this the case or does SLX have a unique port number

SLX running on 80/443.Everything was OK till i applied the ssl cert on it(i guess)

There is another slxweb environment where i have a similar setup.I was able to recreate the same error there by blocking all cookies in my IE settings. With this, i dont really see a clear pattern as to why this occurs.

I hate to reinstall everything as someone else advised;but if theres no other go, then i am forced to do it!

Thanks Duncan for all the help!

Can you log in to webmanager and changed the port number manually to 443.
Its a strange suggestion, but I have seen this work before.

I have an update for you.

I disabled SSL.Changed the port to 80(Website is on DMZ and db server is INSIDE the LAN) so that all fw rules are OK for this. Then checked for the website on the WEBSERVER MACHINE and it works!!

So now the problem is only when we logon from other user machines(IE 6.5 and IE 7.0 beta 2).On the server everything looks ok.I have checked for the slxweb.dll user(which is a local pid created ) settings in the setup guide and everything looks OK.Also this site used to work last week so i dont think that my test PCs are having some wrong settings.

Anything else i am missing?

Nandu,

How could you solve this problem? What suggestion did you apply? I have this problem in one of my clients and I need to solve early.

Thanks,

Jorge, check the time displayed on your server?

Make sure the time is displaying in the current timezone and check if evrything is OK.

Jorge,

Make sure the web site is added to the users list of "Trusted sites". Also, you might try checking that the "Every Visit to the page" option is set in IE: tools-->Internet Options-->Settings (in the Temporary Internet Files grouping on IE6, in the Browsing History group on IE7).

Also, make sure the URL you're using is http://MachineName:Port/scripts/slxweb.dll/home and not http://MachineName:Port/scripts/slxweb.dll/login. That can cause a General Exception.

Jeff

Jorge, Is this webserver on a workgroup as opposed to a domain?I have had some problem with slxweb in the workgroup with a local PID running the site.

Pls let us know.

Hi Nandu,

I Checked it, but it is ok, this problem occurs in other machines not in all the network machines, these machines belong to the domain. Today I tested one of these machines and it shows an application error that says:

Application error: iexplore.exe, versión: 6.0.2900.2180, module error: groupmanager.dll, versión 6.2.2.1041, address error 0x0000780c.

I deleted the objects, clean the register and start the application again, but the problem continues.

Thanks for your help.

Jorge
