I am creating a new web app in vb.net. I have the users logon id and now need to pull various info about that user from AD. Anyone have some experience with this. For now I just need read access. All of the user's info is already stored in AD so I would like to get it from AD if I can. Tried looking at some of the examples on the web but most are in C# and the rest I get errors. This .NET newbie needs pointing in the right direction.

I had looked at the second and third examples. But keep getting various errors trying them. I have not seen the first example. I will look at it in detail this afternoon after my meeting. Maybe I should use one of these examples and start walking throught it again and report my errors along the way and maybe we can figure out what I am doing wrong along the way.

Thanks Nandu.
