Tracy, I have no clue what your trying to say..but

Are you trying to generate the TicketNumber for some reason? Do you have the neccessary SDK priviledges to do that? I dont know the specifics of using a SLXBFClass for slx 7 ;but this error leads me to belive that you dont have some slx license/sdk priviledges to the slx system which you need to wrote external apps against version 7.Why dont you call your BP for this?

To Ryan and Co..

Also if something has changed as far as external access goes in V7, a white paper would defnitely help ppl like me who are supporting multiple slx external apps going against slx V6, who are also going to be upgrading in the near future.

You cannot directly instanciate the BasicFunctions object. It is exposed via a property of the application object. That is where you must use it from (or get the instanciated reference from)

For example:

SalesLogix.SlxApplication slx = new SalesLogix.SlxApplicationClass();

//now use BasicFunctions
this.TextBox1.Text = slx.BasicFunctions.GetPrettyKeyPrefix(ID).ToString();

//or like this
SalesLogix.BasicFunctions bas = slx.BasicFunctions;
this.TextBox1.Text = bas.GetPrettyKeyPrefix(ID).ToString();

Make sense?
SalesLogix.Basic

Not the case, this error refers to the protection level of the class (likely marked abstract or internat but exposed through some accessor wrapper or something). You just can't instanciate it, no one can from outside.

Nothing has changed for external access from v6 to v7
