Is there a way, either in code or the application arch, to adjust the Contact List View? I'd like to be able to choose which fields show up in the List View. Can someone point me in the right direction about how to customize this?

Thanks!

I believe the list view follows the columns of the group you are on - there are lookup viewer smart parts that you can edit but to be honest there not the easiest to change...(I have tried adding extra parameters to the lookup, but I think the lookup is also tied to the group behind the scenes..) so, either change the columns of all groups (unlikely users will want this one), drop the requirement, or spend a little longer on this and amend the lookup viewer in code.

Modify the group you are using to include the additional columns you want to see.

Yes there is a way to do it, and doesn't require the Architect, you do it via the Client.

Basically, you select list view and then select the Group that you want to modify (yes, modify each group that you need its layout to change).
Right click on the Group Name (the tab portion) and select Edit Group (alternatively, you could select Manage Groups and select Edit from there)
After you click on "Edit Group" you will be presented with the Query builder, select the Layout tab and modify the fields as you see fit.

Whenever a user creates a new Group, the layout for the "Latest ..." is typically used as the template for new groups. I said typically, as that can be customized via the Tools/Options menu on the lookups and groups tab. My point is that if you change your Latest group (or whichever group you want to be your template), then you can make it so that all groups that are created by users at least start with the layout that you design.

A special case is how to modify the layout of the Lookup Results group, to do so you have to modify the Lookup being used by the Main View.
