relationships across nested tables...Your last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

I need to show a collection (in a datagrid) that is multiple tables deep...
If each account has a collection of Widgets, it's easy enough. Add a relationship property from Account to Widget, then use the Account's Account.Widgets property to load the datasource to show all of the Widgets for the Account.
If each Widget is made up of a collection of Gadgets, how can I show all of the Gadgets for the Account...
The datasource's GetByProperty only lists properties of the Account... seems like I should be able to use GetByProperty and Account.Widgets.Gadgets, or Account.Widgets(0).Gadgets... something like that
I've also tried making a new method on the Account (GetGadgets)... using Business Rules, but I can't seem to return an object... only string, int, boolean, etc. The new method doesn't show up in the datasource's GetByMethod list anyway.
The only options I can come up with are:

Add AccountID to the Gadget table and make a new relationship property from Account to Gadget. Then the Account would have an Account.Gadgets property. If I do this, will I have to manually update the AccountID on the Gadgets table if the Widget changes Accounts, or will the relationship take care of it for me (Since Gadget relates to Widget and Account)?

or

Load the datasource in code on the form's load event. Do I treat it as a .net DataSet, DataTable, Collection?

There has to be a better / simpler way to do this... it's something that I do a LOT of...

Nothing? This seems like a very common task...
