Resizing the DialogService popup
Posted: 29 Oct 07 6:27 AM

Hi,
I have added my own custom validation in InsertContact.ascx. This looks as follows:
this.DialogService.ShowMessage("<div style=color:red><b> Please enter the following fields:</b></div>" + "<br><ul>" + validationString + "</ul>" + "<br><div style=color:red>(Fields marked with a * are mandatory)</div>");
The problem is that there is a long list of mandatory fields so the dialog window box ends and the text continues to run below it (past the bottom line of the popup box). I've tried resizing it in the following ways (before the code above):
this.DialogService.SetSpecs(300, 300, 1000, 800, ""); this.DialogService.SetSpecs(300, 300, 1000, 800, null);
Both do not error but do not affect the size. I'm not sure what to do with the last parameter since my understanding is that you can pass in a smartpart here but I don't want to do that.
I've also tried the following:
this.DialogService.DialogParameters.Add("Height", 500); and this.DialogService.DialogParameters.Add("height", 500);
Neither have any effect. Has anyone managed to resize this dialog and if so how?
Thanks very much,
Daniel |

Sorry the HTML I'd pasted in mucked up the formatting. Please see below;
