Accessing Side Table with QFDataSource in QuickFormsYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

We've created two additional tables and entities called ACCOUNTINFO and ACCOUNTPROJECT. ACCOUNTINFO extends the ACCOUNT table and ACCOUNTPROJECT describes all of the different projects that we complete for each ACCOUNT.

When creating a QuickForm based on the ACCOUNTPROJECT entity, I'd like to show the details of an ACCOUNT within a bound text box, which is easy. I can simply bind the account name field to the textbox, but I am also looking to show a field that is joined to the ACCOUNT table (such as address or a field within ACCOUNTINFO).

Do I use a QFDataSource to accomplish this, or should I be working with customized code?

Thank you.

You could likely do this with a datasource, however, I would probably just query the model for the data in question and place the values in the controls programatically.

Thanks, Ryan. I'll look into how I can gain access to the code for the QuickForms.
