Data Grid
Posted: 18 Dec 07 4:09 PM
Does anyone have instructions on how to populate a data grid. I am having trouble binding it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For a DataGrid you need two items. The DataGrid and a DataSource. Add both to the form and then you'll configure the DataSource to get the EntityType, GetByProperty to get the data you need. Then for the DataGrid you select the DataSource and add the Columns to the Columns collection.
An easy way to see how to do this is to use the new form wizard to create a form with a grid. Look at the properties it sets (using the wizard is a good way to create the form, although I don't use it that often and just add the items by hand)
Does that make sense?

Unfortunately I do not have the version with the Wizard. We are testing the Web Client before we renew our Contract.
I followed a prior post on how to populate the grid and it works. Now im stuck on the edit in the grid I click it and get no data in the popup form. Arrgggh
