Jump to another form in code
Posted: 07 Feb 08 5:46 PM
I need to create a Link for Save and goto parent from a mainview.
Example: On the Contact Detail MainView I click the "SaveAndClose" Button, It would save the record and then redirect to the Parent Account Mainview.
I found a redirect function but I am not sure what object I need to setup to use it.
I tried using the Redirect Function after the Save Business rule but it only takes the current ID as a parameter
Thanks in advance, Brian

Create the redirect, deploy out your website and look for the code that does a server redirect to the page you want to go to.
The id passed for the entity id will be the primary key.
Since you know the entity type cast the this.BindingSource.Current object as the your type and then use the value from the parent property instead of the IComponent reference ID. You can then go back to your button after action and copy the single line back in and you should be good to go.
