Forms not found
Posted: 18 Apr 08 11:19 AM
I'm interested in custimizing certain parts of SLX Web 7.2.2 but I'm not finding the forms in the Entity model.
Specifically I'm thinking of ActivityDetails and the Attachmentlists for Account, Contact, Opportunity and Ticket.
Is there a way to modify these other than by editing the raw ascx and ascx.cs files?

These are not quick forms, but custom SmartParts, which are basically ASP.NET UserControls. If you look at these in the SmartParts tab of the page they're on, you'll see "(custom)" next to them.
You'll find these in the Support Files for the Portal. On the SmartParts tab, expand, SmartParts then the Entity that they are for and you'll find the "ascx" and associated "cs" files there.

So to customize these areas, you need to be very comfortable in ASP, XML, C# and perhaps J-script.

Correct. These are ASP.NET UserControls, so yeah, you'll need some knowledge in ASP.NET to modify these.
