I am trying to do 1:M relationship screen in Saleslogix web client. Here is the scenario, I have a screen with a grid and if I click on "+" (add) button I am loading a custom page and after entering some values in the popup screen nothing is happening. I mean to say that the screen is not closing. Can anybody suggest me the best way to do this? Is there any steps we have to follow? Thanks for your help.

You havent listed all the steps taken so its quite difficult to decipher which parts you have missed - if you miss one of the many that are required for this scenario it will not work....

Is you Save button on you popup a closed dialog event? That would be the first thing to check.

Please list the exact steps taken in creating this, that way it will be easier to see what you have done wrong...

Thanks,
Nick

Thanks Nick for your reply,

The following are the steps which I have followed to create 1:M relationship screen

1) Created one new entity with new table under Account Association.
2) While creating a new table using the wizard it automatically created relationship with the parent entity.
3) I created a new form under Account with one grid using the wizard
3) I added one "+" toolbar button to that form which will be used to load the child form
4) I have set the properties for this form as "Entity Type:" , "Get By Property:" , "Source:"
5) I created a child form under a new entity which I have created early

After doing all the above steps I tried to open the Parent form which is under Account tabs, then I clicked on "+" button this time I was not able to view the child screen. Please let me know I am missing anything......and also tell me is there any way to create a custom form for adding a child form but this will be my less priority. First let me develop my knowledge in basics

you have 2 3)'s !
I would concentrate on the second 3). Make sure you are calling the correct object and form. And make sure the the plus icon is passing a relevant Id object.

for 4) it would be useful for more detail as I dont really know what you have set them to, other than the fact they have been set...
