Customer web portal behaviors broken out of the box?

We've got a couple of issues that I would like to know more about, and my co-worker isn't going to be able to get to the Sage class until July and I won't be able to go until August. However, we really would like to make some progress before then.
1) On the customer portal, tickets marked with the internal-only public access code (TICKET.PUBLICACCESSCODE) are readily visible to customers/web users. The ticket comments that are marked with this same internal-only public access code (TICKETACTIVITY.PUBLICACCESSCODE) are suppressed as expected. Does anyone else experience this behavior or know why it would work in one place but not the other? Would it be something I need to filter on in the "Web Portal *" groups?
2) How do you set the user's default display group on the portal ticket list (or anywhere for that matter)? The first ticket list that is displayed upon login as a web portal customer is not the same as any of the "Web Portal *" groups, and I can't for the life of me find where it's pulling the query from.... Is it hard-coded? Would I find it using Reflector?
3) Is the customer portal supposed to actually work out of the box? Certain things, like allowing a customer to save a group and then recall it are present but don't work (the recall bit is broken, as the group does save).
Any insight you guys can provide on this would be great. We're doing okay considering that we haven't had the training yet, but this tool is.... awkward in many ways, a true version 1 product, and I'd like to get some of these tasks completed before our training. |
