Populating a combo box
Posted: 30 Jun 08 5:14 PM
I want to populate a combo box in SLX WEB 7.22 using a query, I'm not sure where to start. I suspect it will be a C# snippet in the OnChange event on the combobox control, but I'm not fuent enough in C# to write the snippet from scratch. Does anyone know of an example OOTB or code posted online on how to do this?

Firstly create a method against the Entity you want to return values for. Then add a datasource to the screen and point it to the method. Then set the Datasource property of the combobox to the newly created datasource...In theory of course as I havent used the new combobox in 7.2.2 yet.
No coding should be necessary, although if you convert your quickform to a custom smart part you could create everything in code and have a bit more flexibility.
