business rule parameter passing from delete link

Hi,
i have a delete column in my grid,i would like to call my own business rule from the click of the delete link in the grid.
i would like to pass a parameter from the grid to my business rule,i noticed there is a property called business rule parameter(datasourceid) but
when i assign the datasouceId i am not getting the parameter passed,can anyone help me with how to pass a value from my grid to the business rule on click of the delete link
