How to add an event to an Activity..?

Hi,
I want to add events for an activity. I have created an entity called Cevents and created a relation[1:M] between activity and CEvent.
I have named CEvent as child properties in the activity and Activity as parent properties in Cevent.
I am trying to save an event for the current activity.But when I save, a new activity is created.
i.e. activityId for the activity and the events are different.
Following is the code snippet I am using to add an event to the activity:
EventDetails.ascx.cs:
_activity = this.BindingSource.Current as Sage.SalesLogix.Activity.Activity;
Sage.SalesLogix.Activity.Entities.CEvent cevents = Sage.Platform.EntityFactory.Create() as Sage.SalesLogix.Activity.Entities.CEvent;
cevents.TARGET = Notes.Text;
_activity.CEvent = cevents;
ActivityDetails.ascx.cs: On save click:
_activity_Save();
