hi , I am using list box for displaying gender information, based on the contact person prefix to keep on changing the gender ,after I save the record and seeing in the database is nothing . I am using the server code and design given below:
BindingSource.Bindings.Add(new Sage.Platform.WebPortal.Binding.WebEntityBinding("CContactExt.Gender", cboGender, "Text")); ----------------------- protected void nmeContactName_NamePrefixChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) { switch (nmeContactName.NamePrefix) { case "Mr": cboGender.SelectedItem.Text = "M"; break; case "Miss.": cboGender.SelectedItem.Text = "F"; break; default: cboGender.SelectedItem.Text = ""; break; } } ---------------- Design code: Rows="1" >
Thanks Elamparithi.C

YOuve no doubt resolved this by now, but it may help somebody else...
Whenever changing values of a Property, always update the Entity itself NOT the control. This is the old school way....
So for instance:
protected void nmeContactName_NamePrefixChanged(object sender, EventArgs e) Sage.Entity.Interfaces.IContact con = this.BindingSource.Current as Sage.Entity.Interfaces.IContact; { switch (nmeContactName.NamePrefix) { case "Mr": con.CContactExt.Gender = "M"; break; case "Miss.": con.CContactExt.Gender = "F"; break; default: con.CContactExt.Gender = ""; break; } }
etc. etc.....
