UNdeploying a Portal
Posted: 19 Sep 08 5:58 PM
What is the best way to take a SLXWeb portal offline, while leaving a different SLX Portal online?
In this situation, I want to take SlxClient down while leaving SLXCustomerPortal up. I tried unchecking IsActive on the Deployment Page and deploying, but it is still up. Is there something else to do in AA? If I delete SlxClient in IIS will it affect CustomerPortal?

You can place a text file named "app_offline.htm" in the root of the SlxClient dir - make sure you add at least 512bytes worth of text to it (add some HTML message to it with a bunch of br tags or something).
You can read more about this file in this post:

Simple to implement and simple to undo when you want the site back online. Thanks.
