I am allowed to post 7.5 questions here, right? I have downloaded/installed 7.5 on a VPC image (actually the one you can download from MS for MS Dynamics). I installed/built/deployed the SLXclient portal. When I try to run with IIS I get 'Data Dictionary Cannot be Initialized'. If I open the site and run in VS it logs in fine. For some reason the image is locked down so I can't fully configure the WebDll user (log on locally, act as part of OS etc.). Is that my problem with IIS? I was pretty suprised the site came up using the dev web server.

'Data Dictionary Cannot be Initialized' ususally means it can't connect to the database server. If it connects in VS but not IIS, then you really need to figure out how to set the security configerations per the documentation.

What you need to do is go into IIS, go to the application pools, open the slx one, go to the Identity tab and change the configurable option to the slxservice/webdll user you created when you installed (or just change to Network Service if this is just a demo).
