User Password rules

I have a minor problem in 7.2.2 where I want to enforce password rules (currently all users are using their username as their password). I want to force them to change their password at login. In the Administrator there is a Passwords tab in which I checked off
1) Do not allow blank passwords
2) Do not allow username as password
The problem is these seem to not work for the web users and will not force them to change passwords based on the rules. Is there any easy way of performing this task? thanks in advance

| I don't think anything like this exists (I know it doesn't for the customer portal web users). I had to write something custom to force our customer portal users to change their passwords based on a flagged field in the base table (CONTACT). I haven't used the SLX Portal that much (vs. the customer portal), so I don't know for certain that there isn't something there for this sort of thing, but I would expect not.... |
