v7.5 Outlook Integration ActiveX

We have our 7.5 development site up and running. We cannot, however, get the ActiveX Outlook mail component working properly. here are two issues we are faced with:
1. When "Sending SLX" or "Recording to History" from Outlook, the email gets saved to SLX; however, int he SLX web window, an error shows up saying: "The following error(s) occurred when uploading one or more attachments: File Name: .msg; Error Message: You+do+not+have+a+valid+connection.++Please+log+in.; Log Message: ; Error Code: 406
On a side note, we do have our Attachment functionality working properly, so I'm not sure why we cannot attach an email. Furthermore, after you OK out of the error, the email is still stored to history.
2. Our SalesLogix address book in Outlook is now missing. We cannot find any other SalesLogix dll's in our Outlook add-in manager other than slmn.dll (SalesLogix Mail Extension). Does the SLX Address book exist in 7.5? BTW - after severl conversations with Sage, they "don't know". |

Have you applied Hot-Fix 1 (it's on the install DVD). slxab32.dll *does* exist and it's in c:\pf\saleslogix now (not c:\win\sys32\) |

We are using HF1. We found it in C:\pf\SalesLogix.
How would we get this to install on the local client machines without manually copying it to client machines and registering the dll with regsvr32?
Shouldn't this automatically get deployed when using the ActiveMail ActiveX controls?

Delete it from where? The file only exists on the web server. It does not exist on the client computers as we are using the web client - we haven't installed any lan client so there is no c:\pf\slx... |

Thanks, Mike.
Quick questions here. This has been an ongoing issue with us and Sage. They have not been able to tell us how to completely remove the Outlook ActiveMail plugin from our machines. Removing the Add-in from Outlook does not prompt the website to re-download the content.
Unregistering the slmn.dll from c:\windows\system32\slmn.dll does not help either.
Any suggestions, especially since Sage hasn't had an answer for us since version 7.2. |

If it doesn't exist on the client computers then it hasn't been downloaded. Are you sure they are using the checkbox "Enable ActiveMail" - as it is this that signifies to download this ?? |

OK, now's I'm confused !! In one conversation you are saying it's not downloaded and in this one you are saying it is downloaded (on the client - ignore the server, that's not relevant at all). There are 2 components:
slxab32.dll - this is the address book integration slmn.dll - this is the Record To History/SendSLX piece
Both are in c:\windows\system32 (on the client) - once downloaded and installed (from the web server)
?? |

The slmn.dll is there. slxab32.dll is *not* there.
Active mail is checked. |

Does anyone know all the files I need to remove so that when I log into the web client it will reinstall everything again as if I were using a new computer? |

Hi,
If I remove the SLXActiveMail.inf file from C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files, unregister and delete SlxEmailNotifier.dll from C:\WINDOWS\system32, then I get the installation dialog when I log into the website again. (N.B. Make sure that IE is closed when you do this).
If you look in SLXActiveMail.inf, you see all the Dlls that are installed. Might be a good idea to remove these manually too.

Excellent - found the .inf file and the list of installed .dlls
I don't see slxab32.dll in the .inf still after reinstall of the ActiveX controls
