I have a question in regards to the SalesLogix Web Self Service Customer Portal as it relates to Integration with a third party for Single Log On Authentication.

I have a client who is requesting to integrate with a third party knowledgebase called Parature, www.parature.com

The part I’m trying to figure out is how to provide a single login page for the customer who wants offer SalesLogix's customer service support portal to it's clients and allow them to access Parature Knowledgebase (which is a completely hosted asp offering).

The clients customers should be able to login the customer's site via the Support Logix Customer Service Portal and to Parature for Knowledgebase review while in the same session.

Therefore, one log in for SalesLogix Support Portal (to submit the ticket) with a single login and access both sites.

Has anyone done this or know how this may work in v. 7.5 of SalesLogix Customer Service Portal application for Self Service Tickets?

You can see an article I wrote on that subject here: http://customerfx.com/pages/crmdeveloper/2007/12/14/passing-customer-portal-credentials-to-the-saleslogix-customer-portal-without-logging-in.aspx

BTW, I have done this sort of solution for many companies, as a much more advanced solution than what is described in my original article, adding things like some hidden security to prevent user spoofing and making sure the request comes from a predetermined list of originating sites, etc. I do have a base product for doing this as well that we've not yet put on our website. Let me know offline if you would like more info on this.
