7.5 Webdll user

NEVERMIND - misread the requirement. Saw an 'or' as 'for'
Just want to confirm what I am reading in the 7.5 implementation guide. "If your installation includes Intellisync for SalesLogix or the Web, you must create the WebDLL user. "
So I am assuming that if the client is not using Intellisync this user is no longer needed? Can someone please confirm? Thanks

Hi Steve
Confirmed. If not using Intellisync and not using the SLX web client, this user is not required.

Steve, As you probably now know... there's been a significant update for Intellisync in v7.5 and this impacts LAN, Remote, Remote Office and Web users.
Intellisync is now a "Web Service" and appears as a "portal" just like all of the "new" portals. One of the good things done was to let us run all of this under one user: WebDLL
So, IF you are going to use any of the portal based features (ex: sData, PO, etc) you will need the WebDLL user. Just follow the Sage SalesLogix supplied install/setup documents... carefully! Don't try to wing it or you will find yourself with an install that just does not work.
