Is there any way to port this screen to a tab in the lan? Possibly display in a browser control? Thanks

Sure. What you would want to do is create a new page, call it AccountTimeline and select a different page template (master page) for it so you don't get all the rest of the stuff like tabs, toolbar, navbar, etc. I would probably just create a custom master that had just a single workspace in it so all you get is the one SmartPart that fills the page and nothing else. You'd drop the timeline control on a QuickForm and wire it up to the same mashup, then add it to your AccountTimeline page.

Then in the LAN client, add a browser control and it would be set to (on the account change):

webbrowser.URL = "http://myslxserver/slxclient/accounttimeline.aspx?entityid=" & CurrentID

Or something like that.

Now how would you setup the security so this became no intrusive. I suspect windows Auth would need to be setup or the user would have to log in.

Another thing is would you want to disable navigation so that you are really not just hosting the whole web site and the user can click and zip around. I really live the timeline though

Cool reuse of the web.

Another way:
AFAIK the control comes from some public work done at MIT. You might search there to find how you can get it to use (via a browser control on a tab).
