SLX web client V7.2 access speed issuesYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

I'm getting erratic login performace from our web server based in LA which is used by 6 distributors who are mainly based in tjhe central and eastern regions of the US. All have reported extended log in times - sometimes they don;t even get to the flash screen. Occasionally, I've had access issues which have required restarting the box the app sits on although recycling the app pool also fixes this problem. The box shares a T1 line with other apps.

The issue I have is my SLX service provider says we need 2mb upload and download. . My IT dept reckon this is way over the odds - our Oracle system uses dedicated lines 6mb upload and downlaod but experience has shown us that at peak usage, we only use 11% of the pipe capacity. Currently we run in the region of 300 kb/s down and 500kb/s up.

I am suspicious of the software. When I've not been able to log in, recycling the slx app pool has always fixed the problem.

Can anyone share any similar experiences and how you resolved them. Is setting up dedicated bandwodth the best way? If so, i don;t believe 2mb is necessary for 6 users??

Thanks in advance
