Change Welcome Page
Posted: 07 Apr 09 2:45 PM
I'm trying to change the welcome page and put a datagrid instead, removing all the current smartparts contained there. I tried to edit "dashboard.master" with VS but nothing happens. My goal is to make it look like the "All contacts" group list. Is this possible?

Are you wanting to replace the welcome page completely with the grid/list? Why not just redirect users to the All Contacts group upon login instead?

Are you trying to display the TACO groups or other main entity groups on the Welcome Page, then in that case you will need to write an external smartpart and make a call to the Sage.SalesLogix.Plugins .Net assembly to search for all plugins of Plugin.Type ='Group' and then iterate it in a loop to display the data in a tree view.
Cheers
Kannan
