Active Directory and Customer Portal
Posted: 08 Apr 09 11:45 AM
We are looking to use SalesLogix for our internal ticket system. We would like to avoid from having an additional login for the internal staff and would like to integrate active directory to take care of the authentication and user information on the tickets. Has anybody done this with the customer portal or any other suggestions that may allow us to perform this task?

Are you refering to the customer portal integration with ADSI or SalesLogix Client Portal integration to ADSI, if you have configured a user for single logon using web, instead of calling the URL
http://servername
:portnumber/slxclient/default.aspx, you will need to call
http://servername
:portnumber/slxclient/windows.aspx instead, this will ensure you dont have to again login to SalesLogix Web Comprehensive CRM portal, in case you are referring to your customers logging into the SLX Customer Portal, then there is currently no such interface available, you will need to implement your own membership provider that will login using ADSI details
Hope this answers your question.
Regards
Kannan
