Was description Search dropped from Insert Opp Product?

Im have a system with the Description field as an option is the filters at the top of the Insert Opp Contact screen in one system, but can't find it in any other systems. Was this field removed by Sage? It is throwing a 'Argument data type text is invalid for argument 1 of lower function.' error when I try to use it. I am 99% sure I didn't add this field.. sanity check? Was this field available in a previous version? Perhaps before 7.5 SP1?
