I am attempting to deploy the web portal from a remote server; however; whenever I do it still drops the files on the local machine. If I deploy from the web server directly everything works just fine. I have specified the server and port on the deployment tab within Application Architect, but I must be missing something else.

Share out the folder on the remote web server where you want to deploy the project and then, in your deployment target, reference the remote server name in the "Server" field (rather than "localhost") and the shared folder in the "Base Directory" field - e.g. \\yourremoteserver\sharedfolder rather than C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\
