Hi

I want to set default value in picklist control in web client..any idea how can i do that.

You can set the default value when you edit the picklist in picklist manager in the Saleslogix Administrator.

You could also set the entity property in a quickformload that the picklist is bound to, whichever does the job better..

I would set the default from the SalesLogix Administrator. This will set the default the same any where the picklist is used.

I would think if you do it using the entity property in a quickformload there is a possibility of losing the change in an upgrade and it will not be a systemwide change.

I guess it depends what the extact requirement is - if there are two screens each using the same picklist, one screen you may want to have Item A, and the other one you may want Item B. Setting it in SLX Administrator wouldnt cater for that...

Well i have set default value in the picklist but still i cant see that default value in the picklist control on the web..

The picklists can cache settings - I know this works as I have set a few myself. Try doing an iisreset, and perhaps try a redeploy.
