v7.5 - Error CS0117 when referencing CAPTION in C# codeYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

I have the following C# snippet running under the Load Action on an "AddEdit" form.
************
if (!EntityContext.EntityID.ToString().ToUpper().Equals("INSERT"))
{
txtAccountName.Visible = true;
}
else
{
txtAccountName.Visible = false;
txtAccountName.Caption = "INSERT NEW PRODUCT SUMMARY RECORD";
}
************

When I launch the form I get the following error:

c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\SLXDMRoot\SlxDmDev\SmartParts\CProductSummary\AddEditCProductSummary.ascx(289): error CS0117: 'System.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox' does not contain a definition for 'Caption'

The txtAccountName is a TextBox form field and it certainly has a "Caption" property. Do I need to reference this property in some other manner?

Thanks for any help!

Jim M.

It is a bit confusing because there is a "Caption" property when you look at the textbox control on the quick form designer, however when the form is actually displayed in the web client they are separated into 2 controls: a textbox (which does not have a caption property in ASP.NET) and a label. So if you wanted to change the caption you would do:
txtAccountName_lbl.Text = "INSERT NEW PRODUCT SUMMARY RECORD"
