Infor 8.3 missing fieldsYour last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

Hi,

I've upgrading to Infor 8.3 web client and seem to be missing a lot of fields. Initially it was ADMINEMAILADDRESS, ADMINEMAILPASSWORD and VERSION on the INTEGRATION table. I created these manually and then was able to at least log into web client. I then navigated to an account and received the below error showing a lot of missing fields. As far as I can see, all upgrade bundles are installed including 8.3 bundle from media (only bundle available) These are also not in eval or blank databases.

Any suggestions or know which bundle these are supposed to be in? Haven't encountered any of these errors in the LAN client.

Thanks in advance

Bundles installed

SalesLogix v7.0.x to 7.2 Upgrade
SalesLogix v7.2 Service Pack 1
SalesLogix v7.2.x to 7.5 Upgrade

Saleslogix v8.0x to v8.1 Upgrade
Saleslogix v8.1x to v8.2 Upgrade

I believe you missed a step during your upgrade.

During the 8.3 Web Bundle install there is a a checkbox for rebuild Scheme from Project (or something similar I am going from memory)

This adds all the needed fields to your database.

If that syntax is not correct, search the Upgrade guide for the word "Schema" and you should find the part you missed.

Best of luck, let me know if this does not work?

Thanks Brian. I do remember checking that option but I've restored again. Watching the build this time I noticed these messages for all missing tables. It doesn't actually create the table though. Should I delete all these from the application entities list and restore again? Or is there an easier way?

INFO  - Creating new table SYSINBOXSTATUS for entity SYSINBOXSTATUS for Schema changes
INFO  - Creating table for SYSInboxStatus managed entity
INFO  - An item with the same key has already been added.
INFO  - Schema changes applied for SYSInboxStatus

Thx

Leon

The only other thing I have heard is you must have the correct SQL native client installed or this step will fail. It sounds like this process may have partially failed and left entries in the Sectabledefs table.

Can you go back to a fresh sql back and try again?

Had both native client 10 and 11 and both give same results. None of these tables are in the SECTABLEDEFS either. I've removed the application entities and run restored project again but same results so bit stuck at the moment. I can only go back to our current version 8 but it has same tables and entries in sectabledefs table.

You have to fully read and follow the implementation guide... that's all...

The "rebuild schema for project" checkbox in the "restoring 8.3 project backup" step is the key for this problem.

For some reason importing the 8.2 VFS was failing on the server I was performing this part of the upgrade on. I installed the application architect on a fresh laptop and it was successful. Only thing I can think of was the server was upgraded from 8.0 and not clean? I also found when I finally got to import the 8.3 VFS successfully, I had to restart application architect before I could install the bundles successfully. Also, as noted above, making sure every step is done is key - I think the first couple attempts I had not run the 8.2 conversion application so was doomed from the start.
