Hi,

I am doing a fresh install on Server 2016 of Saleslogix  8.1.0. Everything is done fine, installed the Web Host fine, Build the Web Platform and it went fine.

The problem is when I deploy the "Core Portal", all default settings.

Server : localhost

Port : 3333

App Pool : Saleslogix

When deploying the portal I get the following errors in the Output Window for each portal :

ERROR - Unable to locate the IIS instance on the specified server. Please ensure that IIS is installed correctly
ERROR - Exception was thrown when setting up target: Unable to locate the IIS instance on the specified server. Please ensure that IIS is installed correctly
ERROR - One or more of the targets failed for portal 'SLXCustomerPortal' to configure successfully. Please review deployment settings and try to deploy the portal again.

Please can you assist with this. You assistance with be greatly appreciate.

Ensure that IIS 6 Compatibility mode is installed.

To add to this, is the Application Architect installed on the IIS Server? If not, you will need to do this.

Thank you for your response. I have confirmed that IIS 6 Compatibilty Mode is installed. And, yes, the Application Architect is installed on the IIS server. I am running the whole deployment on the one server.

The only other issue here that I can think of is v8.1 is not compatible/supported with Windows Server 2016. You may hit this issue if you try and escalate it to Infor 

Okay, I dropped the 2016 server and just built a 2012 server and it worked. Many Thanks
