Problem with merging two duplicated Contacts

fiogf49gjkf0d Hello,
I am with small Application Service Provider (ASP) currently hosting SalesLogix for about 40 companies with over 3000+ users, in vary of SalesLogix version from 5.2 to the latest versions.
I have a client that is using SalesLogix 5.2 with Service Pack 3 (5.2.3) has an issue that I couldn't seem to able to find a solution for when she merging two duplicated Contacts into one. The error message popped up after click OK to merge is as follows;
"A Database Error Occurred: No user transaction is currently in progress".
In suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you very much. |

fiogf49gjkf0d I dont recall seeing this error when doing merges but a search of known issues in SalesLogix 5.2.1 shows this:
1-17357 When using Tools> Realign Territories, the re-alignment works. However, the following error displays at the end: "A database error occurred: No user transaction is currently in progress."
I do rememebr that this error would also be received when executing a SQL statment and synching it out to remotes. This error only occured for the first SQL statement run, if you re-ran the same statement again immeadiately the error would not appear. If my memory servers this error did not affect the SQL statement running or synching out correctly.
You may just check to see that the merge is working as expected, both centrally and on any remotes. The error may be trivial and may be able to be ignored. |

fiogf49gjkf0d Thank you for your response,
I have tried everything that I know on this version to fix it but I think I missed something here.
This problem occurred after we moved both the SQL server and the Citrix server from one domain to another. I think I missed something here. Any suggestions? |
