Error message "EOSError"

Hi, has anyone seen this error message when launching the SLX 7.2 client
"EOSError
System Code 87
The parameter is incorrect
Exception location: (004131D2) (SalesLogix.exe)"
The client locks and must be killed, oddly enough you can sync the client
any idea what may have caused this before we re-install the client? |

A re-install of the client won't help!
The problem is with the Visual Analyzer plugins, but is due to the time zone setting in Control Panel -> Date and Time. If the remote user has the Visual Analyzer plugins in their remote database and their time zone setting differs from the production database the error occurs. You can fix this by either changing the remote user's timezone to the production timezone, or by making sure the Visual Analyzer plugins are not released to the remote user and not present in the plugin table in the remote database. SLX support also let me know that the problem could be related to conflicts with other add on products like Linkpoint and QuoteWizard, but I haven't confirmed these. |
