MSDE Automatically reinstalling on Remote Laptop

We have a remote user, that over the past several months, will have problems with MSDE automatically reinstalling. He has to OK/Cancel out of at least 9 different messages when this happens. We are running version 6.2.3 of SLX. He didn't get screen prints of the errors for me but will do so the next time it happens. This happens both when he is working in SLX or when he is currently not logged into SLX. Any thoughts on what would cause this or what to look for? I have never heard of this happening before so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
