Anyone seen this before?

SalesLogix.exe – Application Error
“The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application.”

SLX 7.2.1
Win2k3 SP1, Citrix PS4.0, from server desktop or published application. Server recently rebuilt – worked fine for a week and then this today. No other known changes.

1. Copy the contents of the Business Objects folder from the Windows folder to the Windows Folder\System 32.
2.SalesLogix on a multi-user environment such as Citrix, Web Server, or
Terminal Services, it is highly recommended that you configure the SLXSystem.exe to run as
a Windows Service. Running SLXSystem.exe as a service removes the startup/shutdown time
when the Client creates a connection to a database using the SLXSystem.exe.
The SLXSystem service starts and stops when connections are created. However, you can set
the service to remain open for a set amount of time before shutting down. To set a specific
amount of time for the service to remain open, add the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SalesLogix\ShutdownDelay(DWORD). The key accepts
values 1 through 1440, where the value indicates the number of minutes the service will run
before shutting down (after it detects no activity). Setting the value to 0 indicates the service
never shuts down.
By default, the SLXSystem.exe service is set to Automatic with a registry value of 0 so that it
is always on.
To install SLXSystem.exe as a service
1. If currently running, close the current SLXSystem.exe using Task Manager.
2. On the Start menu, click Run.
3. In the Open box, type “C:\Program Files\SalesLogix\SLXSystem.exe” /install.
The service can be removed using the “C:\Program Files\SalesLogix\SLXSystem.exe”
/uninstall command.

We tried every option with the SLX System. We reinstalled SLX. We uninstalled and reinstalled to just 7.2.0. We uninstalled Citrix. Nothing worked. We finally blew the entire box away and rebuilt it from scratch. Built up two new Virtuals as well. All running fine now. Suspect ms patch (physical machine is 2003 sp1 and behind on ms patches, virtuals are 2003 sp2 and fully current.)

Did I mention this all came about because we have a massive memory leak issue with saleslogix.exe and had just rebuilt that box a week before? To be fair, I suspect the memory leak issue may be more Citrix related than SLX, but we still don't know for sure. Rebuilding the box has however fixed that problem as well...
