Easier way to set function security for multiple users in Admin...Your last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

Hi all,

I would have to assume being that there are many security tables in the SLX DB (SECFUNCTIONS, SECRIGHTS, Etc...) that it would be easier to change a function security for a given set of users in Admin.

For example, I would create a simple SQL script that would remove the ability to see certain menu items for all our users without actually going into every single user in Admin and setting each option manually.

Any help?

Thanks in advance, -RJ

Once you get the function security working correctly for one user, right-click in Administrator and select 'Copy Profile'.

From this screen, you can choose which bits of which user profile/template to copy to whichever users you choose. This is a very good use of templates, by the way.
