I am running SLX 6.2.6.1007 via the LAN client on Windows XP.

I am trying to export a group of contacts in SLX to excel. The export works when I export the entire SLX group using the Excel button (on the top menu bar), but fails when I select a subset of the data and right-click to 'export selected records to excel'. I recieve the following error:

Error exporting group in ExportCurrentGroupToExcel function:
Variant or safe arrat index out of bounds
If problem persists, contact your administrator

Error is followed by another window:
Error creating Excel wor book object
{Path of excel file} could not be found. Check the spelling of te file name and verift that the location is correct.

I assume that the second error is caused by the first error since the path exists, and the new file does not exist in the folder.

Hi Greg,

Is this one particular group in one Main View, or all groups in one Main view, or all groups?

If it is just one group, is there anything perculiar about the group?

THis happens when you have 1:M info on a contact in a contact group.(though i havent checked any other entities)

I confirmed this behaviour in slx 623 and 751. Seems the function picks up the contact IDs from the group and then goes to the group sql and retrieves the data and limits it by the number of records selected - which is totally wrong. I am currently upgrading my 623 and 751 and this is indeed a bug with both the system. I am going to submit a bug.
