Hello,

I try to install 7.5 on a brand new WinSrv 2003 (SP2) with SQL 2005 already installed.
Setup does not complete and shows

"Error 1920.Service SalesLogix DBEventing (Saleslogix DBEventing Service) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system
services."

I tried to install with the 'Local System Account' and a SLXService User, corresponding to Chapter 2 in the Implementation Guide.
Has anyone an idea? Thanks for any information!

Hi Daniel,

I saw that same problem in Beta. My fix was to use the WebDll user, but I see that this is not working for you.

Contact tech support.

BTW, if you are not using Process Orchestration then you will not need DBEventing.

What is the "Saleslogix DBEventing Service" good for?
Since now I could not solve this problem. Also installing 7.2 first and upgrading to 7.5 did not work.
In 7.2 this service seems not to be part of SLX...

As Stephen posted... DBEventing is part of Process Orchestration (MS Workflow). PO was introduced in the v7.5.0 release so of course you will not see it in 7.2.x.
