Hello everybody!
More than a week I stucked with such issue..
The situation: SLX 7.2 remote user, SQL2005 express, VISTA. User can't log on to SLX.
If I try to test the connection in the DataLink manager, it fails. SLX server is available, but the database is not.
In the Connection manager I recieve success message on testing.
It is also possible to connect to this DB from SLX client on another PC.
I've already reinstalled the client and the SQL server, but still have no luck.

In the Event viewer the is an Error event:

Log Name: Application
Source: Microsoft-Windows-Complus
Level: Error
Keywords: Classic
Description:
The system has called a custom component and that component has failed and generated an exception. This indicates a problem with the custom component. Notify the developer of this component that a failure has occurred and provide them with the information below.
Progamm component code: SC.Pool 0 0
Method: IDispenserDriver::CreateResource
Process: SalesLogix.exe
Exception: C0000005

Please help to fix it!

Please try using the SQL Native Client. I'm not sure this is the answer, but I've had similiar problems and in some cases, use of the Native Client resolved the issue.
