Does Saleslogix Adminstrator give an accurate indication to the number of users currently logged into a saleslogix database? Also is there another way of seeing how many people are currenly logged on in a Saleslogix 6.1 database?

Not instantly... and not always..

No mechanism available in 6.1 to do this in an easy manner. Besides, 6.1 (an as of tomorrow 6.2.x as well) is not a supported version anymore so you will never see any changes (to that version) that enable you to do it (easily).
