I just did a SpeedSearch and for many result the preview window is showing in bright red

Access Denied
You do not have security access to this result

I did notice only "Activity" was checked in the "Search In" list but I should have rights to everyone's calendar as an admin - yes?

Thanks,
John G.

I also logged in as Admin from another box, did the same search and had the same result. Something is amiss.

Are you hitting a private activity? You may be denied access to that result.

I've seen this before. Are you a local admin on the machine you are testing on?

It's usually something to do with the permissions on c:\Program Files\SalesLogix\SpeedSearch or one of it's subdirectories.

I think the app needs to write to a html file in the "bin" subdirectory of the above, and cant while running as a non admin.

I think...

Greg,

Yes, I am a local admin on the machine I'm testing on. I'm leaning more toward private activities being the issue but this hasn't been a priority.

Thanks,
John G.
