USERROLES and ROLES
Posted: 04 Jun 09 2:16 AM
hi,
i just saw there are 2 new tables in slx 7: USERROLES and ROLES - what are they good for? How to administrate the entries?
I am asking as we made our own "roles"-table in SLX 6 giving each user one or more roles which manage access rules for various forms. is this the same? If so, how can they be accessed in a (vb)script/form?
Thanks!
Marty

This is used for Access Control to certain features on the Web Client.
Roles and Role Members can get set via the Application Architect.
The way it works, you assign a role to a given Form on a Page, if a users doesn't belong to that role, he/she won't get access to it.
