Were having some problems with Visual Analyzer and I would like to get a copy of Qlikview Enterprise to try to trouble shoot the error. Does anyone know where i can get a copy of this? I only need the trial but I cannot find it on the Qlikview website.

You may need to register on the community web site to get it.

The only thing I can find to download is QlikView Personal. I joined the community and can still not find anything else. So I called QlikView after explaining that Visual Analyzer needs enterprise I was told that the only way to acquire it was to purchase it.

Hi John,

Qliktech changed the licensing with Version 9. There is no trial version as such because with version 9 you can use the fully functional application for personal use. But the personal version encrypts your Qlikview document files so they can only be opened on the machine you installed the application on. This way you can trial all the features and not be limited to a time frame but you can’t share the work documents or open other documents developed on another PC. I know this is not what you want to hear.

But if you find someone who has a Version 8.5 install you can install this and use it for 15 days before it reverts back a “viewer”. I have not checked the visual analyser code in used in SLX but you may still fine that some of the load script has been hidden and even with a copy of enterprise your trouble shooting may be limited.

We develop a lot of Qlikview applications using our SLX data but we do it outside of SLX as we consolidate our SLX data with other system data such as our freight management system becuase it is our understanding that displaying information other that from your SLX database with Visual Analyser is in breach of the EULA .

Regards
Tim

re: Licensing

Standalone external data would be a violation of license.
External data that is linked to SalesLogix data is legal.

Any system that you have integrated with SalesLogix is fair game in VA.

If you register on the community website, then when you click on the "download version 9" link - you get the generic download page that has all of the available versions.
