Mail Merge Issue -- MAPI profile

I'm fairly new to being the admin for SLX so bear with me.
We are trying to run a mail merge and are getting the following error:
Mail Merge Engine encountered an error and cannot continue. The MAPI profile "MS Exchange Settings" was not found on this computer.
I've tried running it on a few computers and it only worked on one and he is set up as a remote client (don't know if that has anything to do with it). The other pc's I tried are network clients. We all use MS 2007. |

Kelly:
What this means is that the on the User's Options (within SalesLogix) he/she is setup with a Mail Profile called "MS EXchange Settings", probably because it was done on a machine with such a profile.
However, on the computer that you are getting the errors, you don't have such a profile.
Go to Control Panel, and open the Mail applet, check what is your Default Mail Profile's name. Either rename it to MS Exchange Settings to match SLX, or rename the Profile stored on SLX to match the one on your machine (which is more than likely called "Outlook") |

I am not sure if this is related, but some users are getting the following error. The mail profile is named correctly along with the Exchange Account reference in outlook (email accounts > more settings) matches the SLX Profile name. We have a couple clients running Office 2007 if that makes a difference.
"could not login to outlook. make sure outlook is properly installed. Invalid class string" |

What version of SLX are you running?
The "invalid class string" refers to it not finding a given COM Object registered. |
