We are looking into creating an additional database to use for another company that is run from the same location as ours. The SLX users would be the same as the ones currently using SLX. Would this be a licensing issue, or can we simply create the additional database and run with it? Any information on the topic would be greatly appreciated.

I should add, I am asking whether it is possible to add an additional SLX Server, similar to how I currently have the option to log in to our production SLX Server as well as our development SLX Server.

Regarding Licenses, the answer would be Yes, it is an issue.

From what I recall, your licenses grant you the rights to have a Dev environment (and maybe even a Stage Envrionment), but the License Keys are associated with a Company ID, which means that SAGE would have to grant you a new set of keys.

Technically, you could Restore a backup of your DB and go with it, but you would be in violation of your Licensing Agreements.

Talk to your BP or SAGE to find out more, and explain your actual situation. As an Example, I have some customers that bought a lot of licenses, and later on decided to have multiple implementations of SLX, and SAGE allow them to migrate user licenses to the new Environments (off course, they needed to get a new Server License.
