Simple Question
Posted: 15 Mar 10 11:36 AM
I'm trying to build a group containing two literals (one is userid and the other is now literal), My question is, is that possible?
My group looks something like this:
evalutes an opp.estimatedclose (dt) less than :now and
opp.status is equal to "open" and
opp.accountmanagerid starting with :userid
When i run my group, it returns no results however I know that there are results to return (if the query is running correctly) any thoughts or assistance is appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael

Can you paste in the SQL from the group definition (as displayed when you click on the 'View SQL' button)?

Use the queryeditor View SQL
run the view sql in query analyser till it works
then backtrack the editor parameters till you match the syntax.
use getdate() for :now and expect a utc offset.

Run the SLX Profiler, open the group and capture the SQL statements that was generated (before and after parsing). The profiler will indicate if there were parsing errors.
At first look, you should set opp.accountmanagerid "equals to" :userid. Not that Starting with would fail, but you get better performance on the "equals to" query.

As an alternative, you could use GetUTCDate() to avoid that UTC Offset.
