Is it possible to use windows authentication on the Intellisync client login or does it only use the Saleslogix db username and password? It seems that it only uses the username and password created under Saleslogix Administrator (db) account. And I can't find any documentation/web searches that says you can definitely use Windows AD authentication with Intellisync. I have windows authentication working on the web client.

I believe that you are correct and that Intellisync is currently built to only use SalesLogix authentication.
