Remote user's accounts are "forced sync"![Your last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM](/images/forumimages/new.gif)

I have a remote sales manager that was set to "Sync ALL Accounts that User can access", and I changed it to "Sync only certain Accounts" so that I could unsubscribe/resubscribe him to one particular account that we were having a problem with. At this point I noticed that all accounts for him have the status "Access (forced sync)". The Saleslogix Administrator help file says the following about this sync status:
--- Access (forced sync) - The user has access to the account and is forced to subscribe as the account owner. For accounts that are forced, Access (forced sync) displays as 2 or 5 (subscription, new (will be sent to the remote) or subscription, forced) in USERSUBSCRIPTION.DATA. ---
The confusing part is that the account owner is set to a team, NOT this particular user, so it didn't make any sense how his accounts could be set to "forced sync".
What I eventually figured out that the reason for this is that he has he a field security profile of Team Owner for the team that the accounts are assigned to. When I changed his team security profile to Read/Write Default then his accounts switched to "Access (sync)" as I expected. It would have been nice if this was mentioned in the Administrator help file, but now you all know. |

fiogf49gjkf0d This is actually detailed quite well in the SalesLogix Planning Guide. But I also know a lot of people who have come against this issue. |
