"New Groups" automatically creating.Your last visit to this thread was on 1/1/1970 12:00:00 AM

Does anyone know why SalesLogix all of a sudden is greating massive groups under the Contacts Entity ?  It creates a "new Group" randomly.  It is like a rabbit!  We have hundreds now.

We have tried to even find the table where these are purge them through SQL, but cannot find them..

We have both LAN and Web users.  The odd thing is that we see this in the LAN client, but not in the Web Client.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Its an old defect which has been resolved. You must be on an older version of SLX (I cannot remember what version of the top of my head)

Looking for the info I have just found the following thread which might be of use..

Multiple NEW GROUP groups display in the SalesLogix Client after upgrading to 7.5.3

In previous versions of SalesLogix, users had an option of `Create temporary group on insert or hyper link' which was removed in 7.5. These groups are the result of users having this option enabled in previous versions of SalesLogix.

It also says:

"To resolve, delete the groups using Execute SQL in the SalesLogix Administrator. For more information, consult a Database Administrator."

Does anyone know what SQL we're supposed to run?  What table holds the groups and what constraints do I use to ensure I only delete the "New Group" ones?
